Brown University Department of Computer Science (BrownCS) professor John Savage has been chosen as one of the “Internet experts and highly engaged netizens” who participated in the recent “Digital Life in 2025” survey. Conducted by Pew Research and the Imagining the Internet Center, it poses questions about the impact of the Internet in the next decade
A recently-released report on the survey’s results analyses almost 1,500 responses and extracts 15 different themes. It suggests that advancements in technology and network complexity are occurring too quickly to be fully understood by most people, and that foresight and accurate predictions are required to meet the challenges of rapid change. Further details and full contents of the report can be found here.
