At the twenty-second annual International Conference on Intelligent Systems for Molecular Biology (ISMB 2014), PhD candidate Layla Oesper’s talk (“Quantifying Tumor Heterogeneity in Whole-Genome and Whole-Exome Sequencing Data”) received the Best Presentation Award, accompanied by a cash prize of $250, for the “HitSeq 2014: High-Throughput Sequencing Algorithms and Applications” workshop.
Reached for comment, Layla says, “I definitely want to acknowledge my co-authors, Gryte and Ben, on the work that was presented at HitSeq.This project is part of a team effort and it wouldn’t have been possible without them.”
