Just don't tell Yia-Yia that you've been eating someone else's baklava for months...
Local favorite, Aleppo Sweets, was one of 50 nominees for Bon Appétit's "Hot 10: America’s Best New Restaurants of 2019”. Founded by refugees of the Syrian civil war, the restaurant, which serves eight varieties of baklava as well as other Middle Eastern dishes, is just a few blocks from the Brown campus.
