The NYT Steps Into Virtual Reality And Finds The Yurt "Inspiring"

    "Today has been inspiring," comments Michael Villasenor of the New York Times. Joined by Sydney Levin (also of the New York Times) and Theodore Bogosian, visiting assistant professor of the practice in Brown University's Cogut Center for the Humanities, he spoke in Martinos Auditorium last week. Fresh from a visit to Brown's 100-million-pixel 3D virtual reality environment (the Yurt, or YURT Ultimate Reality Theatre), he spoke about the newspaper's recent use of virtual reality storytelling and praised the Yurt's technical capabilities and innovative use of immersive visualization.
